SPORTS – Year 3 – Football

First year of “Big” school and for the boys, lots more football; we have found this website to be quite useful http://www.footyboots4kids.com and contains helpful information for the uninitiated as to types of footwear etc. St. David’s require “moulded” studs to be worn. No metal studs or blades.

Top tip for those who feel that cold, wet laces might be a challenge too far for their budding David Beckham, then velcro boots are available http://www.footyboots4kids.com/football%20boots/shop.ink?pcategory=Boots&sort=Description&lace=velcro

N.B. Have also found velcro boots at “A Sporting Life” sports shop in West Wickham. 83 High Street.

Extended School

The School’s Before and After School clubs and Activity Days (typically at the end of term or in the summer hols) have developed, over the last year especially, into very enjoyable sessions for pupils of all ages.

Several staff work with Mrs Lewis to provide a range of fun activities on a daily basis and, in the case of the Activity Days, trips to the theatre and museums.  Activity Days during the school holidays may be paid for with childcare vouchers. For advice on these vouchers, please see the section ‘For You’ on this website.

The School’s Before and After School clubs and Activity Days have developed, over the last year especially, into very enjoyable sessions for pupils of all ages. Several staff work with Mrs Lewis to provide a range of fun activities on a daily basis and, in the case of the Activity Days, trips to the theatre and museums. This December, there are three Activity Days on 20, 21 and 22 December (essential if you are working and a good opportunity to catch up on chores or Christmas shopping if you’re not!). Please book 1, 2 or 3 days by Monday 6 December by returning the form to the School Office. ALL of these sessions may be paid for with childcare vouchers. For advice on vouchers, please see the section ‘For You’ on this website.
