PTA Online Shops

If you shop online, simply doing your usual shopping using one of these portals could earn thousands of pounds a year for the PTA just by clicking a mouse! Bookmark the site that you think represents your retail needs best and always visit it first.

The Buy At’ website (www.buy.at/stdavidscollegepta) and two new sites, www.easyfundraising.org.uk/stdc and www.TheGivingMachine.co.uk are shopping portals that pay commission to the PTA if you use them to access a wide range of over 100 major online retailers.

Accessing retailers through these sites is the same as accessing them directly so you will benefit from any offers available from those retailers and if you have an account with a retailer it will operate in the same way as when you access that retailer’s site directly.  To ensure your purchases earn commission for the PTA, you need to follow these simple instructions:

To use this site, click on the above home page and ‘Register as a User’ (when you will create a password).  Whenever you shop through this site, you will need to login using your email address and password.  Then just click on the retailer you wish to buy from and buy in the usual way.

To use this site you will need to ‘Join as a Giver’ the first time you visit and nominate St David’s College PTA as your chosen charity (make sure you select St David’s College PTA, West Wickham).  After that, whenever you visit this site, it will recognize you as a supporter of St David’s College PTA and you can then just click on the retailer you want to buy from and buy in the usual way.

To use this site, there is no need to register – just navigate to the ‘St David’s College PTA’ page by typing in the above link and click through that page to the retailer of your choice and buy in the usual way.

There are many, many brands and companies to shop from (and new retailers are being added all the time) so before you make an online purchase, please check whether the retailer appears on any of the three websites.  They sometimes pay different commissions for the same retailers, so you might want to check which site offers the best commission in respect of retailers you are thinking of buying from.

Last year we made several hundred pounds in commission from the Buy At website and that has just a fraction of the retailers now appearing on the two new sites and according to the statistics issued by Buy At, the purchases that generated these commissions were made by only a tiny handful of St David’s College parents (the statistics are anonymous but specific to the school).

Also, not many people have been aware that airlines (such as BA, KLM, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic), hotel and reservations companies (such as Hilton, Lastminute, Expedia), travel companies (such as Eurostar, P & O Ferries, Disneyland Paris) department stores (such as  BHS, John Lewis, House of Fraser) and electrical stores (Comet, Dixons) pay commission through these sites.  Many of us make large purchases from such retailers that could earn big commissions for the PTA, just with a little forethought and the click of a mouse.
